Happy Halloween!

Halloween was fun for us this year. Wednesday afternoon we drove the kids up to my dad and step mom's house in Emmett, about 45 minutes north of Kuna. The kids trick or treated at their door, we tried in vain to get a good picture of the kids with their grandparents, then Ken went with my dad to do some work on the piece of property my parents own near Banks and I stayed with Mom and made a couple of attempts at making bread.

Friday we took the kids to our church's "trunk or treat" at 6, then our plan was to take them to several of our neighbors houses.

But as we were loading the car to head to the trunk or treat, we noticed several of our neighbors heading out themselves and realized most of them wouldn't be home when we got back.

So after Ken led the kids from car to car and coaxed Corban to say, "trick or treat," we skipped our neighborhood and went straight to my mom and step dad's new house, which happens to be only a couple miles from our house.

After knocking on their door, surveying progress on their latest project to fix up the new house, chatting for awhile and taking pictures and video of the kids, we dropped by Walmart and grabbed some snacks, then headed for Ken's sister Penny's house to attend her annual Halloween party.

There we kicked back, ate junk, played Rockband and generally enjoyed each others' company.

We had several people there who had never played before, so there was a lot of coaxing and laughing and "just one more song." Our friend Nikki was a natural on the drums her first try!

Even the devil herself showed up to sing along!

After being gone for a while, it has taken me some time to catch up on everyone's blogs. Looks like you guys have been busy. Your kids looked so cute for Halloween.
