The Father and Son Campout:

Friday night our ward (for those of you that don't speak Mormon, a ward is basically a congregation) had a fathers and sons campout and Ken took Corban. Corban was so excited that he talked about it for days before hand.

Thursday night Ken stacked a bunch of the camping stuff next to the front door and Friday morning Corban got out the sleeping bag and camp chair and made himself a tent.

When Daddy got home, our little man insisted that he have his Spiderman hat on and help load the car.

Apparently the trip was a lot of fun. Corban's favorite part was probably throwing every rock he could find into the lake. Or maybe it was zipping and unzipping the tent doors and windows. Either that or the part where he and Daddy snuggled in the sleeping bag and watched Disney's Robin Hood on the portable DVD player. (They were really roughing it ;o)

What? No hatchet throwing? Skeet shooting? Cliff diving? Hmm...Dvd players.....that's MY kind of camp out! =D I'm glad your men folk had fun.

I think Ryan is going to force us to go camping a lot this summer. He would have one happy camper (So punny!) if we could have spent our honeymoon in the great outdoors. I said bah humbug to that and then we went to Hawaii.

And yet.....although I am much more of a 5 star hotel kinda gal (I know I know) the appeal isn't totally lost on me, and I'm warming to the idea. We also welcome friends coming along. ;)
